About the Role

The role involves operating one or two pieces of equipment such as a baler, front‑end loader, bobcat, compactor or forklift to transport or bind paper and other loose materials for efficient handling. This equipment is used to facilitate material handling throughout the plant. • Operate equipment (baler, front‑end loader, bobcat, compactor, forklift) to transport and bind paper and other loose materials. • Sort and grade material; fill and operate compactor. • Record and label received or distributed items; maintain inventory records. • Compile worksheets or tickets according to customer specifications. • Ensure proper material feed onto conveyor and coordinate material flow. • Start baler, monitor functions, respond to prompts and alarms, and document downtime. • Perform routine equipment maintenance, including lubricating, fueling and cleaning. • Load, unload, tag and stack material in trailers, railcars and designated areas. • Inspect and grade wastepaper, check quality before baling or shipping. • Keep work areas clean, maintain wire supplies for baler, and follow all safety policies. • Complete load/unload tally sheets and vehicle condition reports per corporate guidelines.

What You Bring

Required qualifications are at least six months of prior work experience and a forklift certification; preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and one year of experience. These credentials ensure safe and effective operation of plant equipment. The position may require a REAL ID or TSA‑approved alternative for travel by air or access to federal property. Candidates must be willing to obtain a REAL ID if they do not already have one.

WM offers a pay range of $18 to $19 per hour and a schedule of Monday through Friday, 1:30 pm to 11:00 pm, with the expectation of working one to two Saturdays each month.
