• Lead technical role on bridge design projects. • Perform complex structural planning, analysis, and design for transportation structures. • Design bridges (steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, segmental, cable), box culverts, and interchanges for highway and railway projects. • Serve as technical specialist or Project Manager on mid‑size projects and supervise junior engineers.

What You Bring
HDR is hiring an experienced and licensed Senior Bridge Engineer for our Transportation Business Group, with the position based in Louisville, Lexington, or Elizabethtown, Kentucky. • Hold a Master's degree in Structural Engineering (preferred). • Proficient with engineering software such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB‑MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, MDX, SAP2000, CSiBridge, ADINA, RM Bridge, spColumn, LUSAS, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge. • Possess a Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of bridge design experience. • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng). • Hands‑on experience across all bridge design phases. • Familiar with Bluebeam Revu and additional analysis tools (e.g., ADINA, LUSAS, OpenBridge Designer, Autodesk Infraworks, Civil3D). • Skilled in Microsoft Office, MicroStation, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA, and prestressed concrete design. • Demonstrated leadership, strong communication, and teamwork abilities. • Project management experience desirable. • Able to act as a technical expert in engineering analysis and design.
