About the Role

• Execute high-quality FCAW welding on structural steel. • Set up and adjust welding equipment for specific tasks. • Fabricate, drill, grind, and assemble bridge girder components per specifications. • Perform FCAW welding and other assembly operations to meet production standards. • Use tools, clamps, and fixtures to ensure proper alignment and fit. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Deliver quality, accurate, thorough, and reliable work. • Push or move objects with up to 100 lb of force. • Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, and work at heights as needed. • Maintain a full range of motion for reaching and bending. • Work indoors in a large warehouse or outdoors in all weather conditions. • Climb heights when required. • Wear safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, steel‑toed boots; use respirator for specific operations.

What You Bring

Veritas Steel is seeking welders to produce bridge girder components. The role combines welding, fabricating, drilling, grinding and assembly work, requiring precision, attention to detail and the ability to meet high production demands while maintaining quality and safety. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Safety is a top priority, and the company provides extensive training, required PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats and steel‑toed boots, and respirators for specific tasks. Work may be performed indoors in a large warehouse or outdoors in all weather conditions, with occasional climbing and exposure to dust, fumes, noise and heavy steel. • Weld in multiple positions (flat, vertical, horizontal, overhead). • Have at least 1 year of welding experience; FCAW required. • Show willingness to learn and contribute to team success. • Maintain great attendance and dependability. • Lift up to 75 lb occasionally.

Benefits

Welder starting pay ranges from $24.57 to $28.05 per hour, paid weekly. Shift options include 1st shift (5 AM–4:20 PM, Mon‑Thurs), 2nd shift (4:30 PM–4:30 AM, Mon‑Thurs), and a weekend shift (5 AM–5 PM, Fri‑Sun). Employees receive double time after 50 hours worked in a week.
