About the Role

The role involves performing design calculations, developing equipment requirements, and creating layout and schematic documentation while leveraging BIM tools and coordinating with other engineering disciplines. You will also guide junior designers and contribute to value engineering studies. • Perform design calculations for plumbing, gas, compressed air, and fire protection using engineering standards. • Develop design requirements and space planning for mechanical and pump plantrooms. • Utilize BIM360 for project delivery. • Coordinate and resolve clashes between MEP services and other disciplines. • Prepare general arrangement layouts and schematic diagrams. • Produce design options, reports, and documentation. • Interface regularly with other engineering disciplines and departments. • Provide technical guidance to Revit/CAD designers, drafters, and junior engineers.

The Hydraulics Engineer role in the UAE is part of our expanding engineering team due to a strong pipeline of projects. We are seeking an experienced Hydraulics Engineer to join our integrated, multi‑disciplinary team delivering projects across infrastructure, buildings, transport, and more. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with at least five years of mechanical design experience on building projects, preferably in the Middle East. Familiarity with international codes, hydraulic modeling software, BIM environments, and strong English communication skills are essential. • Conduct value engineering studies. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Professional Engineer registration may be required. • Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience on building projects. • Proven experience delivering projects in the Middle East with knowledge of regional requirements. • Knowledge of international codes and standards (IPC, BS, UPC, CIBSE, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.). • Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software and drafting tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Elite Fire). • Ability to implement and maintain a Quality Management System on projects. • Familiarity with BIM environments for modeling and clash resolution. • Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
