Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance in occupied social housing properties.

About the Role
You will be responsible for a wide range of plumbing repairs and maintenance in occupied social housing, working directly with residents to ensure homes are safe, functional and comfortable while providing a professional level of customer service. • Carry out responsive plumbing repairs in occupied properties. • Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages and drainage issues. • Replace taps, toilets, cisterns, basins and other sanitary ware. • Repair or replace pipework, valves and fittings. • Investigate and resolve problems with hot‑water systems and radiators. • Ensure work complies with current plumbing regulations and health‑and‑safety standards. • Record job details, materials used and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets. • Remove, repair or replace bath panels to access pipework and refit them professionally. • Maintain tools, equipment and the company vehicle in good working order. • Work respectfully in residents’ homes, keeping the environment clean and safe. • Identify and report additional works, safeguarding concerns or property issues. • Participate in the out‑of‑hours emergency rota when required. • Provide high levels of customer care at all times.

What You Bring
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, hold a full UK driving licence, be over 21 with less than nine penalty points, and will undergo background and security checks; further information can be requested from Laura Bourne at [email protected]. • Proven experience in domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance. • Experience in carpentry repairs and maintenance. • Full UK driving licence. • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills. • Excellent customer service experience in occupied homes. • Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices. • Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work. • Willingness to participate in out‑of‑hours emergency rota.

The role offers a full‑time permanent contract for an experienced plumber in Croydon, with a salary up to £37,170 per annum, a company van, fuel card and a 42.5‑hour week (Monday to Friday, 8 am‑5 pm).
