About the Role
The driver safely operates a heavy‑duty truck on assigned transfer routes. This role has no supervisory duties. • Operate the vehicle in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations while maintaining a clean and safe truck. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) and report any issues for corrective action. • Immediately report unsafe situations, service calls, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Participate in all required training, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts. • Follow scheduled duties, assist other drivers as directed, and complete route assignments and end‑of‑day documentation. • Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager. • Fully dump containers, clean the customer site, reposition containers upright with lids secured, and ensure they do not block driveways or traffic. • Submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal.

What You Bring
Requirements include a valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B), being at least 18 years old, and passing a DOT drug screen, physical, background check, and driving‑record review. No prior experience or formal education is required. The role may require travel by air or access to federal property, so candidates must have a REAL ID or an acceptable TSA‑approved alternative. WM drivers are professional, well‑trained, and home at night and on weekends. They are part of their communities, arriving on time, keeping neighborhoods clean, and helping residents. • Maintain an acceptable driving record and hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (age 18+). • Successfully complete pre‑employment DOT drug screening, physical, background check, and motor‑vehicle‑record review.

The position offers a pay rate of $36.93 per hour and a full‑time schedule of Monday‑Friday with some Saturdays, starting at 5:15 AM. Candidates with at least two years of CDL driving experience in waste collection or local delivery are strongly preferred.
