Principal responsibilities require advanced knowledge and strong skill proficiency in vehicle components and systems, enabling the technician to perform complex repairs both on‑site and on the road. Tasks include chassis component repair, maintenance of refuse bodies (control, hydraulic and electrical systems), air and hydraulic braking systems, engine repair, suspension, drivetrain, steering, heating and air‑conditioning systems, as well as line‑maintenance welding and fabrication. The technician must diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools, complete applicable company training programs, and perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications include at least three years of experience as a technician on heavy‑duty trucks and the ability to inspect and repair systems such as suspensions and steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions without constant supervision. ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1‑T8), LNG/CNG experience, and a Class B or higher commercial driver’s license are considered advantageous but not mandatory. A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
