About the Role

A Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The driver must ensure the vehicle meets the Company’s safety standards before each shift, adhere to all company, state, and federal regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) to address any defects promptly. Key duties include performing thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, and reporting any safety issues. Drivers follow assigned route sheets, operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, and compact refuse, and dispose of material at designated facilities while interacting courteously with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues. They identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers, monitor waste for prohibited items, clean accidental spills, maintain vehicle readiness, and complete required productivity and reporting paperwork to meet departmental standards and safety policies, including participation in the ReSOP program.
