About the Role

Under general supervision, the technician applies appropriate welding techniques to fabricate and repair compactors, containers, and carts. The role involves interpreting prints, drawings, and verbal instructions to complete work within established standards. • Perform minor repairs and basic welding processes on compactors, containers, and carts. • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repair electrical and hydraulic systems. • Apply various welding techniques, including arc, gas, aluminum, brazing, and soft soldering. • Conduct safety inspections on equipment. • Complete repair paperwork using fleet maintenance software, logging parts and time. • Assist senior welders and handle service calls for compactor repairs. • Execute flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching of metal and plastic components. • Work within Standard Repair Times and follow dimensional tolerances. • Interpret prints, drawings, and verbal instructions for job set‑up. • Utilize standard hand tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment. • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. • Follow established safety procedures at all times.

What You Bring

Benefits

The position offers an hourly pay rate of $18 to $20, depending on experience. Work hours are from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, typically 8–10 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays.
