About the Role

The Maintenance Technician B works under the guidance of a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager to repair and maintain diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks. Duties include work on chassis components, vehicle refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulics, electrical, air brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering. The role may also involve basic tire services such as replacement, rotation, and tread depth checks while supporting drivers on a single, state‑of‑the‑art fleet. • Maintain and repair highly intricate and powerful machinery • Work a regular shift in a stable industry

What You Bring

Technicians must possess a working knowledge and moderate skill proficiency across vehicle components, enabling preventative and corrective maintenance both on‑site and on the road. Responsibilities cover chassis repairs, refuse body systems, engine work, suspension, drivetrain, heating and cooling, welding, and fabrication, as well as safe road service to return equipment to operation. Troubleshooting utilizes electronic diagnostic tools, and technicians are expected to complete company training programs and perform additional tasks as assigned. Candidates should understand work order labor time standards and have prior experience with maintenance on Class 1‑5 light/medium duty and Class 7‑8 heavy‑duty trucks, aircraft, or ships. ASE certifications and a Commercial Driver’s License are advantageous but not required; a valid driver’s license is mandatory. Minimum qualifications include at least one year of relevant technician experience or imminent graduation from an accredited automotive program, with the ability to conduct basic inspections of major truck systems.
