About the Role

• Translate construction‑related documents, including technical drawings, design specs, contracts, permits, and safety manuals. • Ensure consistent translation of industry terminology and regulatory terms across all materials. • Implement and manage a quality‑assurance process for contextual and technical accuracy of translations. • Provide simultaneous interpretation at meetings, tours, and events for Korean‑speaking participants. • Support administrative tasks such as report processing, award issuance, and record keeping. • Maintain translation databases using translation‑management software and tools (e.g., Déjà Vu, memoQ, Wordfast, Trados). • Resolve localization and cultural issues and collaborate with other departments to deliver translation services.

In this role the translator will serve as the communication bridge between Korean‑speaking stakeholders and the cross‑functional project team, ensuring business requirements, schedules, and plans are clearly understood and met. The ideal candidate brings experience in construction or engineering of high‑tech manufacturing facilities and thrives in a dynamic, multi‑stakeholder environment. • Minimum five years of professional translation experience, native fluency in Korean, and fluency in English. • Familiarity with construction‑management jargon, engineering terminology, and relevant cultural contexts. • Bachelor’s degree in communications, linguistics, or related field; translation certifications (ATA, NAATI) preferred. • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ability to work under tight deadlines.
