About the Role

The role manages the financial performance and productivity of multiple Operating Units, ensuring they meet or exceed annual objectives and successfully implement organizational initiatives. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing operating plans aligned with long‑range goals, continuously evaluating market performance, advising managers on program execution, developing and forecasting budgets, and supporting budget optimization and compliance. The position also oversees personnel functions such as hiring, coaching, training, performance evaluation, and provides input on promotions, terminations, and compensation, while coordinating necessary resources to accomplish operational activities. Additional duties involve participating in profit and loss reviews, managing equipment utilization, maintenance, and labor/material costs, and implementing safety programs to ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other federal and state regulations. • Design and implement operating plans aligned with long‑range objectives. • Monitor market area performance and establish performance metrics. • Advise managers on program execution and adjust work plans as needed. • Develop and forecast operating unit budgets, including staffing needs. • Support budget optimization and ensure compliance with financial targets. • Oversee staffing: hiring, coaching, training, performance evaluation, and input on promotions or terminations. • Coordinate resources to accomplish operational activities. • Participate in profit and loss reviews; manage equipment utilization, maintenance, and labor/material costs. • Implement safety programs to meet DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
