About the Role
• Conduct and document observations of construction progress for civil infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations, and pipelines. • Mentor junior field staff and provide supervision as needed. • Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers. • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; identify discrepancies or conflicts. • Serve as the most senior inspector on projects when required.

What You Bring

This position does not offer visa sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization now or in the future. • Technical school or Associate degree. • Caltrans experience. • Road and bridge experience. • Relevant industry certifications. • Ability to interpret construction schedules. • High school diploma or equivalent (or 8 years relevant experience in lieu). • Minimum of 5 years construction inspection experience. • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). • Strong written communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Pass HDR’s drug and alcohol screening per policy. • No visa sponsorship available for this position.
