About the Role
The engineering role supports Clean Energy Center operations by delivering advanced technical problem‑solving, making key technical decisions, and applying industry codes and regulations. The position requires deep functional expertise and accountability for accurate, timely work and proper configuration management. Engineers develop and manage engineering analyses, troubleshoot equipment and system issues, oversee task management, conduct independent research, and recommend innovations that improve performance, simplify operations, or reduce costs. They also support emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage activities as needed. • Provide in‑depth technical expertise for engineering analysis, program development, and implementation. • Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct consultation. • Manage engineering issues from task initiation to completion, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. • Perform research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support regulatory and technical projects. • Recommend new concepts to improve performance, simplify operations, reduce costs, or meet code changes. • Participate in emergency response, call‑outs, departmental coverage, and outage support outside the department.

What You Bring
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline relevant to the clean‑energy sector and meet access and medical requirements appropriate for the role. Preferred qualifications include Professional Engineer (PE) registration and a Qualified Nuclear Engineer (QNE) certification. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field. • Mid‑level: at least 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience; Senior: at least 5 years. • Maintain required access clearances and pass a favorable medical examination. • Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) registration and Qualified Nuclear Engineer (QNE) certification.
