About the Role

As a Senior Ports & Maritime Project Manager you will lead projects ranging from $5 million to $100 million, overseeing schedules, budgets, resources, and quality while coordinating multidisciplinary teams from initiation through close‑out. • Manage multiple ports and maritime projects simultaneously, values $5M–$100M. • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource estimates. • Oversee quality control and implement QA/QC procedures. • Apply engineering principles to resolve complex issues and ensure compliance with USACE permitting. • Generate proposals and fee estimates using internal tools and support strategic planning. • Lead and coordinate single‑ or multi‑discipline teams throughout the project lifecycle. • Establish and nurture client relationships; participate in marketing, contractual, and design meetings. • Conduct work sessions with staff and stakeholders to develop deliverables. • Coordinate staffing and workload to meet schedule and budget targets. • Track financial performance and adjust effort to stay within agreed parameters. • Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and Business leadership for project reviews. • Supervise large project staff and mentor less‑experienced project managers.

What You Bring

The position requires strong client relationship skills, participation in marketing and contractual meetings, and collaboration with accounting and business leadership for project reviews and financial tracking. • Preferred: Master’s degree, PE license, 15+ years in heavy industrial/ports‑maritime design and construction, experience with design‑bid‑build and alternative delivery methods. • Required: Bachelor’s degree, 10+ years related experience, 5+ years project management, proficiency with Microsoft Office and project‑management software, strong organizational and communication skills, commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
