About the Role
The Gate Attendant/Scale Operator is responsible for accurately and efficiently monitoring and recording waste volumes entering the post‑collection site while collecting appropriate usage fees from customers. Key duties include determining the content of incoming waste to bill customers, accepting or rejecting loads based on material type and market guidelines, collecting payments and providing receipts, balancing daily receipts and depositing them securely, documenting waste amounts using truck scales and computer systems, notifying operations of special loads and handling required paperwork, answering telephone inquiries, maintaining a clean work area, and performing other assigned tasks.
