About the Role

The foreman will ensure a proper Inspection/Work Plan is in place, examine blueprints for structural dimensions, and lay out floor plans and cabinetwork using tape, framing squares, and calipers. They will select and inspect materials such as lumber, prefabricated doors, cabinets, and paneling for code compliance, determine the sequence of fabrication, assembly, and erection activities, and assign tasks to workers. Additionally, the foreman will inspect subcontractor work—including ductwork, wiring, and pipe installations—to verify conformance with specifications. Hands‑on duties include installing doors, building stairs, laying hardwood floors, and performing both concrete and rough carpentry such as hand‑set walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural decks, slabs, columns, and drywall. Finish‑carpentry responsibilities cover setting door frames, hanging doors, installing hardware, toilet accessories, handrails, partitions, lockers, cabinets, countertops, wall paneling, coffered ceilings, and trim.
