About the Role
• Facilitate departmental goals and act as liaison between engineering/architectural and administrative teams. • Manage and review small to medium sustainability projects (EV charging, energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable HVAC) through planning, design, and construction. • Coordinate project development, budgets, and schedules with multiple client agencies. • Obtain approvals by working with local, state, federal agencies and municipalities. • Schedule, coordinate, and review in‑house and consultant project management tasks. • Provide consulting support to architects, engineers, estimators, specification writers, and construction program managers. • Resolve project problems independently. • Support OGS D&C projects with sustainability and resiliency expertise. • Lead development of internal protocols for energy‑efficiency and low‑impact design tracking. • Present climate‑related initiatives to internal staff and external stakeholders. • Attend conferences and build relationships with industry leaders. • Promote and communicate sustainability initiatives to staff and client agencies. • Supervise lower‑level engineers and technical staff. • Offer technical assistance to other OGS D&C divisions.

What You Bring
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in architecture, building science, engineering, construction technology, or related field. • Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience. • Possess at least three years of construction experience on large‑scale building or rehabilitation projects. • Experience preparing, implementing, or reviewing plans, specifications, and managing document control. • Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and basic technical writing skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. • Possess Envision, Well‑Building, or LEED certification (preferred). • Hold Engineer‑in‑Training certification, FE passing proof, or NY Professional Engineering license (preferred).

Benefits
The role offers a salary range of $75,000 to $90,000 per year and includes a comprehensive benefits package that features health insurance and a supportive work environment. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, as visa sponsorship is not available.
