Job Highlights
About the Role
• Coordinate internal and external shipping and orders. • Optimise resource use to meet customer needs. • Balance commercial, economic and quality goals to deliver outstanding service. • Identify customer requirements and use company resources economically. • Negotiate delivery times for mutual benefit of customer and company. • Prioritise deliveries during supply issues and liaise with weighbridge staff. • Assess vehicle requirements using forward programme and negotiate schedules. • Monitor daily programme and advise customers of delivery status. • Accurately take or amend customer orders and maintain dispatch comments. • Investigate customer and haulier queries promptly. • Update key personnel via desktop text system. • Develop relationships and rapport with customers and internal departments. • Manage customer complaints, referring to third parties when appropriate. • Prepare Order Centre reports as required. • Maintain a professional demeanour at all times.

What You Bring
• Good working knowledge of production processes and operational limitations. • Strong product knowledge, particularly within asphalt and drystone. • IT literate with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, SAP and Syncrotess. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Experience in a similar working environment.
