About the Role

The VP will direct, coordinate, and evaluate the solar construction division, develop and execute the strategic plan, and ensure profitability and client‑satisfaction goals are met. Responsibilities include hiring, training, retaining, and appraising staff, promoting safety compliance, managing vendor and client relationships, and resolving conflicts such as subcontractor performance issues or material delays. The role also requires ongoing communication with senior management, performance feedback for project managers and field superintendents, and participation in executive team meetings, trade shows, and site visits. • Lead strategic and operational direction of the solar construction division. • Develop and implement the division’s strategic plan. • Ensure profitability and client satisfaction for all projects. • Oversee hiring, training, retention, and performance appraisal of staff. • Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures. • Manage relationships with key vendors, owners, and clients. • Resolve subcontractor performance issues, material delays, and contract disputes. • Maintain open communication on job progress, schedules, and subcontractor performance. • Provide performance feedback and conduct annual appraisals for project managers and superintendents. • Champion innovative ideas and implement new policies and procedures. • Participate in executive team meetings and contribute to overall company success. • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and site visits. • Assist senior leadership with business continuity and succession planning. • Provide 401(k) match, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and flexible spending accounts.

Required skills include strategic planning, organizational development, operational excellence, financial management, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance. The ideal leader demonstrates the ability to build high‑performing, inclusive teams, mentor emerging talent, and translate vision into measurable results.
