About the Role

You will strengthen TxDOT relationships to identify and win work, lead pursuit activities such as teaming strategy, statements of qualification, proposals, interviews, and win plans, and manage transportation design projects from kickoff through delivery while coordinating internal teams and subconsultants. You will develop scopes, schedules, and fees aligned with TxDOT requirements, provide technical direction and quality oversight, navigate compliance processes, mentor staff, and partner with transportation leadership to grow presence in key Texas markets. • Build and strengthen TxDOT client relationships to identify and secure new projects. • Lead TxDOT pursuits, crafting teaming strategies, SOQs, proposals, interviews, and win plans. • Manage transportation design projects from kickoff to delivery, coordinating internal teams and subconsultants. • Develop project scopes, schedules, and fee structures that meet TxDOT requirements. • Provide technical direction and ensure quality oversight of deliverables. • Navigate TxDOT compliance processes to keep projects on track. • Mentor and develop staff to expand delivery capacity and TxDOT expertise. • Partner with transportation leadership to grow the firm’s presence in key Texas markets.

What You Bring

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a Professional Engineer (PE) license, and at least eight years of experience, including independent decision‑making on engineering problems and leadership of TxDOT transportation design projects. Preferred qualifications include established TxDOT relationships, relevant pre‑certifications, experience managing large, complex projects, familiarity with TxDOT procurement and contracting practices, and active participation in professional organizations. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Possess 8+ years of engineering experience with independent decision‑making authority. • Demonstrated experience leading TxDOT transportation design projects. • Established TxDOT relationships and a proven record of winning transportation work. • Familiarity with TxDOT procurement, contracting, and selection procedures.
