About the Role
• Read and interpret blueprints/sketches, and complete reports • Instruct laborers and other construction trade helpers • Build and set forms, use level instruments, tie rebar, build scaffold, finish carpentry work, read tape/ruler, set screeds, install batter boards, and operate various hand and power tools • Inspect areas and conduct repairs or maintenance • Assist other craft workers as needed • Perform repetitive hand/arm and leg motions with hand/eye coordination • Operate electric, gas, and pneumatic hand and power tools • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds • Perform tasks requiring bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, squatting, and standing on uneven or adverse surfaces • Perform necessary math calculations • Maintain concentration amid distractions and work at various tempos • Make decisions and attend to detail

What You Bring
The carpenter designs, constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard using pneumatic and electric power tools. Materials are fastened with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives, followed by a final check to ensure accuracy. This role requires knowledge of advanced layout techniques, Simon forms, anchor bolt placement, material takeoff from drawings, and strict adherence to building safety requirements. The individual must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work and operate tools and equipment safely and effectively. Work is performed in plant operations or on construction job sites, demanding adaptability to diverse environments. The position combines physical stamina with mental acuity, requiring the ability to lift, climb, and work in varying weather and terrain conditions while maintaining clear communication, precise calculations, and attentive decision‑making. • Push/pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lb regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally • Communicate effectively (hear, comprehend, speak) for safe work • Work in confined spaces and endure adverse weather conditions • Communicate effectively with management and supervision • Read and write to understand directions and safety policies
