About the Role
The Data Operations Associate for STR will join the global data operations team in Nashville, reporting to the Manager, Data Operations. The role focuses on loading, checking, and delivering benchmarking data, as well as supporting client‑related administrative tasks such as automating data feeds and facilitating data exchange. • Load performance data from corporate submissions, automated feeds, and manual files. • Perform data quality checks, researching and accepting or rejecting data. • Resolve data discrepancies by contacting data providers. • Communicate policies and guidelines to properties, clients, and industry professionals. • Notify research department of census‑related issues (room supply, open dates, etc.). • Monitor and improve participation levels with internal stakeholders. • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly processing procedures. • Respond to client emails promptly and professionally. • Run pre‑processing checks on weekly and monthly data. • Generate, verify, and deliver selected reports to corporate clients and individual properties. • Serve as internal point of contact for data‑related queries. • Manage workflow requests and assist clients in setting up data delivery. • Stay informed on industry trends that may affect data. • Support client automation of data submission from various technology vendors. • Identify new opportunities for automated data transfer with technology vendors. • Support growth in data participation while adhering to confidentiality standards. • Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly deliverables with high accuracy. • Notify team of issues impacting delivery timelines and collaborate to resolve them. • Adjust and update report setups per client requests.

What You Bring
STR handles a diverse set of data, including historical, forward‑booking, and P&L information, and a basic understanding of key data points is essential for accurate handling and meaningful client reporting. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and analytically strong, thriving in a fast‑paced, innovative environment. Exceptional interpersonal skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage customer requests independently are critical for maintaining data integrity, quality, and confidentiality. • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, data, business management, finance or equivalent experience. • Strong analytical skills and confidence in manipulating quantitative performance data. • Ability to work with large or disparate data sets. • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to build relationships with executives and internal teams. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. • Ability to work independently and as part of an international team. • Proven track record handling urgent requests while meeting project deadlines. • Detail‑oriented mindset with strong focus and accuracy. • Positive, can‑do attitude and willingness to learn new methods. • Highly organized with strong time‑management skills. • Knowledge of STR data, products, and client base. • Familiarity with hospitality technology (PMS, RMS, BI tools). • Experience in hotel, travel, or tourism industry. • Financial literacy, including P&L statements and performance indicators. • Experience with API integrations and SFTP data transfers.
