About the Role
Key responsibilities include coordinating the flow of documents between project operations, engineering disciplines, the construction team, and other groups; processing document types through procedural steps; ensuring compliance with pre‑established control requirements such as numbering and signature protocols; receiving, tracking, and monitoring documents using standard management programs; entering data and producing reports with office automation tools; scanning documents for electronic storage; maintaining distribution schedules based on client, project, department, and supplier needs; expediting review, approval, and release of supplier and internal documents; performing clerical duties such as typing, filing, and messenger service; and assisting junior staff to implement project‑specific procedures. • Coordinate document flow among project teams, engineering, construction, and other departments. • Process and control document types following established procedures and numbering systems. • Register, track, and monitor documents using standard management software; generate logs, transmittals, and reports. • Scan and store documents electronically; maintain distribution schedules per client and project requirements. • Expedite review, approval, and release of supplier and internal documents. • Provide clerical support such as typing, filing, messenger duties, and mentor junior document control staff.

Job Description: Document Controller – Abu Dhabi, UAE. Under general supervision, the Document Controller performs a variety of document control functions for a project or department and may be responsible for a small‑sized project. This role requires knowledge of document control work processes and the electronic systems used to manage documentation. Required qualifications are a diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and a minimum of five years’ document control experience in an engineering design/consulting environment. The candidate must have proficient keyboard skills, solid knowledge of MS Windows, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software, as well as experience with the ACONEX system. Strong written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential for effective interaction with project personnel and management. • Hold a diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 5 years of document control experience in engineering design/consulting. • Proficient with MS Windows, office applications, and the ACONEX document management system. • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
