About the Role

Mortenson is hiring a Laborer II to prepare, handle, and supply materials for use by other trades on construction projects. The role involves loading and unloading equipment, assembling and dismantling scaffolding, managing mortar and grout, and performing concrete work. • Load and unload equipment • Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5x7x16) and staging; level ground for scaffolding • Tend, lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout; transfer between wheelbarrows and buckets • Perform general cleanup and debris removal, including sweeping, washing, and disposal • Place, push, pull, shovel, and vibrate concrete • Build relationships with diverse team members and stakeholders

What You Bring

Candidates must have completed a two-year apprenticeship, with construction experience preferred, and be capable of operating power and hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies. The position requires strong teamwork, a positive attitude, detail orientation, and effective communication, as well as the ability to perform repetitive movements and lift up to 50 lb (heavier loads with assistance). Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. • Completed a two-year apprenticeship • Construction experience preferred • Proficient with power and hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies • Strong teamwork, positive attitude, professional customer service, attention to detail, active listening, and effective communication • Ability to perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements and lift/push/pull up to 50 lb (with assistance for heavier loads)
