About the Role

The role involves planning and engineering designs, preparing bid packages, writing technical reports, conducting GIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D analyses, and communicating with federal, state and local officials. The engineer will also research regulatory requirements, support field‑work permitting, and contribute to small‑ to medium‑size project scoping while adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct. • Develop engineering designs and bid packages for water, wastewater, drainage, and water‑resources projects. • Produce technical reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations. • Conduct GIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D analyses to support design solutions. • Participate in project meetings and communicate with federal, state, and local officials. • Research and apply applicable regulatory codes, permits, and guidelines. • Collaborate individually or within cross‑functional teams to deliver project work. • Assist in work‑plan preparation, field‑work permitting, and project scoping for small‑ to medium‑size projects. • Complete assigned training and adhere to ethical standards and WSP’s Code of Conduct.

What You Bring

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering and 1–3 years of relevant experience. • Possess EIT certification (or obtain within 6 months) and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. • Experience with WaterCAD, SewerCAD, HydroCAD, HEC‑RAS, or ArcGIS is a plus. • Demonstrate strong communication, organization, and multi‑tasking abilities, including field work and travel with a valid U.S. driver’s license. • Preferred: Master’s degree, professional licensure within one year, and active participation in local professional organizations.
