About the Role
Key duties include drafting technical reports and contractual documents of high presentation quality with minimal guidance, working to project schedules, and proactively advising team members on issues that could affect efficient completion. The role also involves reviewing the work of team members to ensure deliverables meet AECOM standards and client expectations. • Lead landscape and public realm design for marine infrastructure projects across global offices. • Manage design, tender, and construction processes in line with international standards. • Draft technical reports and contractual documents with minimal supervision. • Monitor project schedules and proactively flag issues affecting timely delivery. • Review team deliverables to ensure compliance with AECOM quality standards and client expectations.

What You Bring
The Principal Architect will join the Landscape team in India, contributing to impactful marine infrastructure projects across global offices. Candidates must have solid experience delivering landscape design and public realm projects in private or public sectors and be familiar with design, tender, and construction processes. International experience in the UK, Middle East, or APAC regions, as well as strong design detailing and construction technique knowledge, are valued. Applicants should have between nine and fourteen years of landscape architecture experience. A master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from a reputable university is advantageous, while a bachelor’s degree coupled with relevant project experience is also acceptable. Chartered candidates and those proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, rendering software (Lumion, Enscape, Twinmotion) and BIM tools will have an added advantage. • Possess 9–14 years of landscape architecture experience; master’s degree preferred. • Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, and rendering tools (Lumion, Enscape, Twinmotion); BIM expertise is a plus. • International project experience in the UK, Middle East, or APAC regions considered an asset. • Chartered status and strong design detailing and construction technique knowledge are advantageous.
