About the Role
The Social Impact Manager reports to the Social Impact Lead within the Commercial capability and supports the collaborative development of the Social Impact Strategy and Delivery Plan, overseeing SMART sustainability objectives. The role is responsible for implementing the Social Impact Employment and Skills plan, designing and managing social‑value activities that align with local and client needs. Stakeholder engagement involves identifying key internal and external parties, building partnerships with public and third‑sector organisations, and ensuring priorities for skills and employment are met. The manager works with KDP and the supply chain to build a consolidated delivery plan that aligns with strategic objectives and to establish robust reporting mechanisms. They educate colleagues and suppliers on the benefits of social impact, demonstrate how to contribute effectively, and collaborate with the Communications Team to promote initiatives both internally and externally. Keeping abreast of relevant legislation, standards and best practices, they ensure these are communicated across the organisation and report or escalate issues to the Social Impact Lead and other stakeholders as appropriate. • Develop and manage the Social Impact Strategy and SMART sustainability objectives. • Design, develop, and oversee the Social Impact Employment and Skills plan aligned to local and client needs. • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, forming partnerships with public and third‑sector organisations. • Collaborate with KDP and the supply chain to create a consolidated delivery plan and robust reporting mechanisms. • Educate colleagues and suppliers on social impact benefits and support their effective contribution. • Work with the Communications Team to convey social impact initiatives internally and externally. • Monitor relevant legislation, standards and best practices, integrating them into team activities. • Report progress and escalate issues to the Social Impact Lead and other agreed stakeholders. • Lead UK‑based social impact activities using recognised best‑practice methodologies. • Build and maintain senior‑level stakeholder relationships to drive social impact delivery. • Apply sustainability performance management systems with qualitative and quantitative assessments. • Embed social impact processes within the supply chain and assure contractual delivery.

What You Bring
Candidates must have experience leading UK‑based social impact activities using recognised best‑practice methodologies and be committed to high standards of safety, diversity, inclusion, empowerment, and trust. They should be able to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, and possess knowledge of social‑impact measurement approaches and sustainability performance management systems. Procurement expertise and a proven track record of embedding social impact processes within supply chains are required, as is the ability to work collaboratively across private, public and third‑sector partners.
