About the Role

Under general supervision, the technician applies appropriate welds to fabricate or repair compactors, containers, and carts. • Perform minor repairs and basic welding on compactors, containers, and carts. • Conduct preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of electrical and hydraulic systems on compactors. • Apply arc, gas, aluminum welding, brazing, and soft soldering to various materials. • Complete safety checks and maintain compliance with OSHA standards. • Document repairs, parts usage, and labor time using fleet maintenance software. • Assist senior welders and respond to service calls for compactor repairs. • Execute flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching of metal and plastic parts. • Work from prints, drawings, and verbal instructions while adhering to standard repair times. • Set up layouts and dimensions using standard shop hand tools and measuring devices. • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow established safety procedures.

Benefits

Pay Rate is $25-$30 per hour depending on experience. Work schedule is Monday‑Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional overtime and Saturdays.
