About the Role
The Assistant Property Manager role is responsible for maintaining multifamily communities to market‑ready standards, delivering high‑level service, and building high‑performing teams. Bilingual (Spanish) ability is required, and compensation ranges from $24.65 to $29 per hour with eligibility for benefits and additional earnings. Essential duties include supporting the Property Manager in operations such as maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits. The assistant also ensures superior customer service to residents and prospects, completes lease paperwork, tracks advertising performance, and upholds Cushman & Wakefield’s mission. The role involves overseeing on‑site staff, including interviewing, hiring, coaching, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Responsibilities also cover maintaining resident files, resolving conflicts promptly, managing community budgets, and collaborating with leasing staff to meet marketing and leasing goals. • Support Property Manager with operations: maintenance, capital projects, lease administration, budgeting, reporting, collections, evictions, and marketing. • Deliver superior customer service to residents and prospects to increase satisfaction, renewals, and revenue. • Complete lease and renewal paperwork in compliance with company standards. • Track advertising performance and manage prospective client traffic. • Uphold Cushman & Wakefield mission and enforce company policies on‑site. • Recruit, hire, coach, and supervise on‑site staff while maintaining resident files. • Resolve resident conflicts promptly and maintain a positive living environment. • Manage community budgets, expenses, and financial reporting. • Collaborate with leasing team to achieve leasing and marketing targets. • Set performance goals and improve staff productivity.

What You Bring
Required competencies include effective communication, strong customer‑service skills, computer literacy with Microsoft Office, general office and bookkeeping abilities, and the capacity to set goals and improve staff performance. Candidates must be able to manage a team and perform any other related duties as assigned. Education: a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, while a high school diploma, GED, or technical/vocational schooling is required. Experience: at least three years of property‑management experience, one year of supervisory experience, and bilingual Spanish proficiency are mandatory. The work environment is a professional office setting with standard equipment, regular travel between properties, and exposure to varying weather conditions. Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting up to 25 lb regularly. • Demonstrate effective communication, Microsoft Office proficiency, and bookkeeping skills. • Hold at least a high school diploma/GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Minimum 3 years property management experience and 1 year supervisory experience. • Bilingual in Spanish (required). • Travel up to 15% of time and handle physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 lb.
