About the Role
The role serves as a subject‑matter expert in overcurrent protection, power distribution systems, NEC requirements, and product standards. It supports the adoption and enforcement of NEC and UL standards among end users, OEMs, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). Additionally, the incumbent leads national training seminars for distributors, consultants, inspectors, and internal sales teams at the Bussmann Experience Center in St. Louis, MO. The position involves building and maintaining strategic relationships with industry partners such as IAEI, IBEW, IEC, NFPA, and ICC. Responsibilities include developing and updating technical marketing collateral and guiding the creation of educational content for sales and application engineers. Direct interaction with customers and partners is essential to solve problems, understand market needs, and influence industry direction. • Serve as subject‑matter expert on overcurrent protection, power distribution, and NEC requirements. • Promote NEC and UL standards adoption among end users, OEMs, and AHJs. • Conduct national training seminars at the Bussmann Experience Center. • Build and maintain partnerships with IAEI, IBEW, IEC, NFPA, ICC, and similar organizations. • Develop and update technical marketing collateral and educational content. • Engage directly with customers and partners to solve problems and shape market direction.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution and possess a minimum of three years of technical sales or engineering experience in the electrical industry. An E.I.T. or P.E. license is required, along with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. The role demands a team‑player mindset, the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and an interest in future field sales or application engineering. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. • Minimum three years of technical sales or engineering experience in the electrical sector. • Possess an E.I.T. or P.E. license. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. • Work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
