About the Role

What You Bring

We are hiring a Mid‑level Archaeology Technician III for a remote, part‑time on‑call role reporting to the Cultural Resources team in Portland. The position supports field projects primarily in Oregon and Washington, requiring flexibility to travel overnight as needed. Candidates should reside in the Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA area and be ready to work under the supervision of a Crew Chief, Field Director, or Principal Investigator. • Hold a high school diploma plus 4 years relevant archaeological experience (or equivalent). • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean record for required travel. • Earn a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field (preferred). • Have 5 + years experience with survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring (preferred). • Complete an archaeological field school (preferred). • Use geospatial technology such as GPS and GIS (preferred). • Be proficient in Microsoft Office (preferred).
