About the Role
The Maintenance Technician supports an affordable‑housing community, performing corrective, preventative, routine, emergency and cosmetic maintenance, overseeing make‑ready processes, and working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. • Respond promptly to resident and management work orders for common areas, buildings, and units. • Perform corrective, preventive, routine, emergency, and cosmetic repairs, including swimming‑pool maintenance with accurate chemical logs. • Assist with unit turn‑around (make‑ready) tasks and schedule related maintenance activities. • Conduct daily inspections of grounds, structures, and common areas to identify and correct hazards. • Maintain the preventative‑maintenance program to extend property life and reduce future repairs. • Keep the maintenance shop organized, stocked, and compliant with OSHA safety standards. • Support hazard‑communication and safety‑training initiatives under the Maintenance Supervisor. • Document service requests, EPA/OSHA compliance, preventative‑maintenance activities, and make‑ready status accurately. • Provide excellent customer service, monitor request turnaround times, and uphold community policies. • Participate in on‑call emergency response and after‑hours duties as needed. • Ensure reliable transportation for emergency on‑call requirements. • Meet physical demands such as lifting 100+ lb objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined or outdoor conditions.
