About the Role
The Cleaner (Special Team Crew) reports to the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and performs a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services, following the company's established standards, instructions, and procedures. Daily responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors and other interior surfaces, using both light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines. The role also involves vacuuming rugs in offices and public areas, spot‑cleaning and shampooing rugs as directed, and dusting furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces, with periodic high‑dusting. The Cleaner maintains interior windowsills, glass doors, partitions, and specified windows, as well as washing glass and trim at entrance doors. Bathroom duties comprise cleaning, restocking paper supplies, damp‑wiping glass, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls and stalls, and sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing floors, while monitoring for defects such as clogged urinals or lights. Additional tasks include collecting building trash daily, replacing liners in waste baskets and containers, and placing trash in approved containers for removal. The role may require sweeping or shoveling snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting sidewalks, as well as periodic high‑dusting, leather and wood polishing, and wall washing. • Sweep, mop, and wash interior floors and surfaces. • Operate commercial floor buffers, shampoo machines, and backpack vacuums. • Dust and clean furniture, exhibit cases, trim, and light fixtures; perform periodic high‑dusting. • Clean interior windowsills, glass doors, partitions, and specified windows. • Maintain and restock bathrooms, including cleaning fixtures, servicing dispensers, and scrubbing floors. • Monitor and report facility defects such as clogged urinals or non‑functional lights. • Collect, remove, and replace liners for building trash and waste containers. • Sweep or shovel snow from entrances and walkways as directed. • Perform periodic tasks: high dusting, leather and wood polishing, wall washing. • Follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and cooperate as part of a team.

Compensation for this role is $14.00‑$16.00 per hour, with pay determined by factors such as location, experience, collective bargaining status, and market rates.
