About the Role
Delivery of the transformative project uses a two‑alliance approach, each responsible for a road section and associated works, guided by principles that respect the whenua and create an enduring legacy. Downer participates in the South Alliance alongside McConnell Dowell, Beca, and Tonkin + Taylor as a Non‑Owner Participant, covering the stretch from Ōtaki to south of the Ohau river. • Perform day‑to‑day tasks on a construction site • Strip existing farm fencing • Install and maintain silt fences • Inspect erosion and sediment control devices

What You Bring
The project is now seeking experienced labourers for Ō2NL’s first summer season, focusing on competent operators to support a range of construction site activities. Successful candidates will possess a full Class 1 driver’s licence, proven experience with hand and power tools, a strong commitment to safety and Zero Harm principles, reliability, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience in erosion and sediment control, physical fitness, and a positive attitude toward outdoor work in all conditions are also required, and applicants should reside in or be willing to relocate to Horowhenua, Kāpiti, or surrounding regions.
