We are seeking a highly‑motivated intern to join our Bridges & Structures Engineering Discipline for Summer 2026 in our Lansing, MI office. Colliers Engineering & Design, an affiliate of Colliers, is a trusted provider of multi‑discipline engineering, design and consulting services to public and private sector clients. Headquartered in Holmdel, New Jersey with 80+ offices throughout the United States, we specialize in civil/site, transportation, geospatial/survey, infrastructure, governmental, geotechnical/environmental, telecommunications and utilities engineering as well as architectural and planning services. We employ over 3,000 talented professionals who utilize advanced technologies to deliver customized solutions for our clients. The selected candidate will work in the North Central Bridges & Structures group on projects such as new or rehabilitated highway, rail and pedestrian bridges, culverts, retaining walls and temporary structures. Responsibilities include preparing engineering analyses, CAD drawings, technical reports and cost estimates under senior engineer supervision. You will collaborate with the Bridges team to meet project deliverables and deadlines, apply classroom knowledge to real‑world situations, and may engage in occasional field work. The role also offers exposure to related infrastructure divisions, including rail, waterway structures, and hydro‑power. Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related program, with an interest in structural design preferred. Basic proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation and strong MS Office skills are desired, along with reliable transportation to the office. Excellent written and verbal communication, solid problem‑solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced environment are essential. The ability to read, write, and understand English for job‑related communications is required. • Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or related field; interest in structural design preferred. • Basic AutoCAD or MicroStation skills, strong MS Office proficiency, and reliable transportation required. • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, problem‑solving ability, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
