About the Role

The position leads the conversion of conceptual designs into detailed working documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS, oversees preliminary and final layouts, and prepares civil construction plans for wind and solar projects, covering site layouts, roadways, grading, drainage, and erosion control. The Senior CAD Designer also reviews drawings for accuracy, coordinates with project management and engineering teams, and maintains document control systems. • Transform conceptual designs into detailed AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS documents. • Create preliminary layouts and final designs integrating surveys, shapefiles, and vehicle tracking data. • Prepare civil construction plans for wind and solar sites, including roadways, grading, drainage, and erosion control. • Conduct drawing reviews to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards. • Serve as senior liaison between project management and engineering teams to drive milestones. • Implement and maintain document control systems for revision tracking and accessibility. • Manage and prioritize multiple projects, adapting quickly to changing timelines. • Mentor junior designers and foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. • Apply advanced Civil 3D tools such as surface, corridor, pipe network, and Sheet Set Manager. • Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

What You Bring

Candidates must have 5–7 years of advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, drafting/design or a related discipline (civil engineering preferred), strong knowledge of CAD standards, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Additional experience in renewable energy or oil & gas, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and the ability to manage multiple complex tasks are also required. • 5–7 years of high‑level experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, drafting/design or related field; civil engineering preferred. • Strong knowledge of Civil 3D project organization, drawing structures, and CAD standards. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • Experience in renewable energy or oil & gas considered a plus. • Valid U.S. driver’s license and strong attention to detail.
