IT QA Lead

About the Role

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced IT QA Lead – eCommerce to join the global Commerce IT team, supporting development of global B2B commerce and customer portals. The role defines and governs quality processes, validation, performance, and collaborates with development teams to deliver secure, high‑performing digital experiences. The Lead will also guide the QA Automation team, maintain regression and performance test suites, and enable AI capabilities in the QA framework. The Lead will work closely with cross‑functional teams—including developers, designers, project managers, and business stakeholders—to integrate quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle, lead test‑plan creation, define functional, non‑functional, regression and performance testing methods, and ensure best‑practice adherence. Additional duties include functional and regression testing across browsers and devices, performance and load testing, defect identification and tracking, security and accessibility testing, documentation of test processes, and reporting of quality metrics to stakeholders. Continuous improvement, staying current with industry tools, and driving automation to reduce manual effort are also essential. • Collaborate with developers, designers, PMs, and stakeholders to embed QA throughout the lifecycle. • Lead QA teams in creating detailed test plans, cases, and defining functional, non‑functional, regression, and performance testing. • Guide test automation framework adoption, benchmarks, and industry standards. • Conduct functional, regression, performance, load, security, and accessibility testing across browsers, devices, and OS. • Identify, report, and track defects; work with development to resolve issues before release. • Maintain comprehensive documentation and deliver actionable quality reports to stakeholders. • Drive continuous improvement and integrate emerging tools, AI capabilities, and best practices into QA processes. • Lead QA Automation efforts to sustain regression and performance test suites. • Ensure compatibility and responsiveness using BrowserStack, LambdaTest, and similar tools.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or a related field, with 10–12 years of QA experience for web‑based, public‑facing solutions. Required expertise includes Salesforce (Community Cloud, Commerce Cloud, CRM), performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner), automated frameworks (Selenium/.Net C#, Playwright), cross‑browser/device testing (BrowserStack, LambdaTest), Agile/Scrum environments, defect tracking (Azure DevOps, JIRA), and cloud testing (Azure). Security, accessibility, strong analytical and communication skills, and relevant certifications are a plus. • Require 10‑12 years QA experience, strong Salesforce (Community/Commerce Cloud) knowledge, and expertise in Selenium/.Net C# or Playwright. • Proficient with performance tools (JMeter, LoadRunner), Agile tools (Jira, Confluence), and defect tracking systems (Azure DevOps, JIRA). • Experience with cloud‑based testing (Azure) and security/accessibility testing. • Strong analytical, communication, and detail‑orientation skills; relevant certifications (ISTQB, CSM) are advantageous.
