About the Role

The role involves interpreting functional, control and system requirements and producing design documentation such as I/O lists, functional design specifications (FDS), system design specifications (SDS) and test documents. You will program PLCs and HMIs—primarily Schneider but also Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron and Mitsubishi—and configure SCADA systems like Wonderware, Rockwell and Siemens. Projects must be delivered on‑time, within budget and to contractual and standards requirements while demonstrating expert knowledge of PLC logic, flow‑charting and low‑voltage electrical systems. You will attend customer sites as required, uphold the company’s culture and values, review and repair legacy code, and conduct system analysis and development with limited support. What You Bring

Candidates should have strong IT skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases), experience with SCADA systems and logic auto‑generation, and knowledge of electrical systems. Professional experience writing PLC code for Allen Bradley, Siemens or Mitsubishi in a customer‑focused environment is essential, together with solid report‑writing abilities, commercial awareness and health & safety knowledge. An HNC/HND/Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering is preferred, though a good secondary education may suffice for trainees. • Demonstrate strong IT skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases). • Experience with SCADA systems and logic auto‑generation from templates. • Knowledge of electrical systems and PLC programming in a customer‑focused environment. • Hold an HNC/HND/Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent secondary education for trainees).
