About the Role
The Manufacturing Engineer Technician plays a pivotal role in supporting manufacturing engineering functions. This includes aiding in process development, troubleshooting, documenting procedures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position ensures production processes run efficiently, safely, and meet quality standards. Key duties involve setting up manufacturing equipment and tooling, as well as contributing to projects that increase productivity, cut waste, and enhance quality. The technician conducts root‑cause analyses, implements corrective actions, and leverages production data to spot trends and suggest enhancements. Collaboration with engineering teams is essential for introducing new processes and technologies while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations. Documentation responsibilities include creating and updating work instructions, process sheets, and equipment logs, and providing training to operators on proper equipment usage and process adherence. The role also requires evaluating alternative equipment and manufacturing methods, resolving issues using statistical tools and continuous‑improvement techniques, and taking part in product process design reviews. What You Bring
Candidates must hold a technical degree from an accredited institution and have at least one year of manufacturing experience, preferably in an engineering support or technical capacity. Applicants need to reside within a 50‑mile radius of El Paso, TX, though active‑duty military personnel are exempt from this geographic limitation. No relocation assistance is offered. Essential skills include mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving ability, and proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics. Familiarity with measurement tools, basic statistical analysis, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles is required.
