About the Role
The Systems Services Engineer will provide specialised technical support for subsea oil and gas control technologies throughout the product lifecycle, from development and installation to commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting. This role acts as the primary technical interface with customers, ensuring safe, reliable and high‑quality operation of control systems and associated hydro‑mechanical and electrical auxiliary systems. Key duties include supporting the installation and configuration of control systems and equipment, executing startup procedures, calibration, sequencing and functional acceptance testing, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance. The engineer will also diagnose complex issues involving instrumentation, electrical systems, software controls or hydro‑mechanical interactions, and conduct inspections, system tuning and equipment testing. In addition, the role serves as the main onsite or offshore technical contact, preparing detailed service notes, technical reports and documentation while supporting site teams, subcontractors and customer personnel in line with operational and HSE requirements. • Support installation, commissioning, and configuration of subsea control systems and associated equipment. • Execute startup, calibration, sequencing, and functional acceptance testing of control panels. • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting instrumentation, electrical, software, and hydro‑mechanical issues. • Serve as primary onsite/offshore technical contact, preparing service notes and technical reports. • Ensure compliance with Baker Hughes and customer HSE standards and recommend reliability improvements.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will hold a degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical, Hydro‑Mechanical, Mechatronics, Control Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field and have experience in maintenance, troubleshooting or commissioning of industrial control systems. They should demonstrate strong capabilities in software control logic, sequencing and industrial automation, as well as the ability to create, update and interpret technical drawings, specifications and system schematics. Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills, the ability to work independently or within multidisciplinary teams, and willingness to travel to onshore and offshore sites are also required. • Hold a degree in Systems, Electrical, Hydro‑Mechanical, Mechatronics, Control Systems or related field. • Demonstrated experience with industrial control systems maintenance, troubleshooting, or commissioning. • Proficient in troubleshooting software control logic, industrial automation, and interpreting technical drawings. • Strong communication and customer‑facing skills; ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams. • Willingness to travel to onshore and offshore sites as required.
