About the Role
Key responsibilities include designing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure such as LAN, WLAN, WAN, firewalls, switches, and VPNs, as well as leading initiatives like network redesigns, system migrations, and hardware upgrades. The role also involves monitoring network performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability and reliability. The administrator implements and maintains network security measures, supports Windows Server environments and VMware virtualization platforms, and administers core infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory. Detailed documentation for network configurations, procedures, and system architecture is created and kept up to date. Providing Tier III support for escalated technical issues, exercising independent judgment in troubleshooting and resolution, and collaborating with IT leadership on infrastructure planning are essential duties. What You Bring
The Infrastructure Administrator III plays a critical role in designing, implementing, configuring, and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, with a focus on network and server systems. This position requires advanced technical expertise, independent problem‑solving, and active participation in infrastructure planning and project execution while collaborating with senior IT staff and leadership. Candidates must have five or more years of progressive experience in network and systems administration within an enterprise environment, a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience), and preferably hold certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or VMware VCP. Experience with enterprise networking technologies, virtualization platforms, network monitoring tools, and cloud or hybrid infrastructure is highly valued. Advanced knowledge of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP), strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks, and excellent communication and documentation abilities are required. The individual must embody the company’s core values, demonstrate continuous learning, and contribute effectively to cross‑functional project teams. • Require 5+ years of enterprise network and systems administration experience. • Experience with networking technologies, virtualization, monitoring tools; cloud networking a plus. • Bachelor’s degree in IT/Networking or equivalent; certifications (CCNA/CCNP, Network+, VCP) preferred. • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP; strong troubleshooting skills. • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, communicate clearly, and collaborate across teams. • Work in office and manufacturing environments; lift up to 50 lb; PPE required; occasional evenings/weekends.
