About the Role
• Perform field fault analysis to determine whether an instrument failure or process issue is present. • Calibrate instrumentation in the field using proper test equipment. • Conduct complete overhauls in a shop environment, replacing components, aligning and calibrating to specifications. • Repair signal transmission components such as tubing and wiring. • Work with pneumatic, electronic, and digital instrumentation equipment. • Analyze hard‑wired relay logic, motor‑control circuits, and motor power circuits (120 V to 480 V three‑phase) as well as utility and lighting circuits. • Install new control circuits and modify existing instrument/electrical systems, including design, load calculations, and implementation of new control logic. • Perform fault analysis on PLC‑based systems and modify control logic as required. • Develop, prepare, and present recommendations and reports as requested.

What You Bring
The E&I Tech Field Specialist performs routine maintenance, installation, and integration of various process control instrumentation such as transmitters, controllers, integrators, recorders, and analytical equipment. Work is carried out with appropriate tools, including electrical/instrumentation tools and Fluke meters, and includes repairs to electrical power, motor, and motor‑control circuits. Effective oral communication in English is required. Candidates must be a high‑school graduate or GED holder and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. They must be able to read and interpret schematic drawings to component level for pneumatic loops, relay logic, PLC programs, and motor‑control circuits, and associate symbols with actual components such as transistors, resistors, relays, and starters. Basic algebraic skills are needed for electrical calculations, and the job requires installing and bending various types of conduit and instrumentation tubing. The ability to analyze problems, propose solutions, and lift up to 50 pounds is essential.
