About the Role
The position provides technical support for escalated issues from field service teams, ensures timely solutions for customers and field service engineers, and includes on-site support within the East Asia (EA) region. The role develops and enhances the technical expertise of field service engineers for PQ equipment, collaborates with factory R&D to build a competent field services team, and works with the East Asia Supply Chain to create a spare-parts support model aligned with warranty obligations and inventory management. The individual assists countries in establishing CPS spare-parts inventory, manages minimum/maximum stock levels, and ensures adequate support through regional hubs or factories while contributing to continuous improvement of service procedures and documentation. • Execute escalation procedures and provide after-hours post-sales technical support for UPS hardware, firmware, and batteries. • Track and report 1-phase and 3-phase system cases, issues, and resolutions across the EA region. • Identify and suggest improvements to field procedures and service manual content. • Review service procedures, ensure start-up/rework readiness, and transfer knowledge across EA countries. • Act as escalation point for 3-phase technical support, responding to emergency calls and emails. • Develop and coordinate site testing plans to determine root causes of escalated issues. • Participate in load-loss problem escalations, conduct data analysis, and help create action plans. • Perform field services in EA countries (~20% of time) while mentoring Customer Service Engineers. • Serve as technical lead for service call escalations during business hours and on-call periods. • Provide standby on-call support during alerts, including on-site assistance for critical installations in Singapore and rapid recovery for key accounts. • Implement process‑approach and risk‑based thinking within the Quality Management System (QMS). • Support full implementation and sustainability of the QMS. • Communicate importance of QMS compliance to stakeholders. • Ensure QMS objectives are achieved. • Engage, direct, and support individuals involved in the QMS.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include an Associate’s degree in a technical field, at least two years of related experience, and a minimum of four years of UPS technical service experience or power‑electronics R&D background.
