About the Role
The Department Manager, Agentic AI Platform Development, owns the enterprise strategy, governance, and delivery of agentic AI capabilities on Google Vertex AI for Con Edison. This role ensures the organization can design, build, deploy, and operate intelligent agents that support grid operations, asset management, forecasting, customer engagement, and operational automation. It is accountable for the full agentic development lifecycle, including architecture standards, agent frameworks, prompt and policy management, tool orchestration, runtime execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement. The manager also balances financial and operational stewardship while meeting strict reliability and regulatory compliance requirements. • Lead full agentic development lifecycle: architecture, frameworks, prompts, policy, tool orchestration, runtime, monitoring, and continuous improvement. • Ensure agents are secure, explainable, auditable, reliable, with determinism, fallback behavior, traceability, and human override for safety‑critical environments. • Coordinate with Cybersecurity, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and IT Infrastructure teams as the authority on agentic architecture and development patterns. • Provide financial and operational stewardship, balancing innovation with reliability and regulatory compliance. • Translate business and operational needs into scalable agentic capabilities and communicate platform maturity, risk posture, and value to executive leadership. • Support family care with emergency backup child and elder care assistance. • Promote social responsibility, volunteer opportunities, employee discounts, commuter benefits, and career development programs.
