About the Role

The role of Intermediate Contract Administrator (Structural) is tied to the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project, Canada’s most significant heritage restoration and the heart of the Parliamentary Precinct. You will oversee structural components of the restored Centre Block, Peace Tower, and a new below‑grade Visitor Welcome Centre, working at the intersection of heritage preservation, engineering excellence, and national significance. • Review construction activities for contract compliance and record findings in Field Observation Reports. • Coordinate on‑site structural work with architectural Contract Administrator and other discipline leads. • Manage submittals to ensure timely review and return to construction manager and contractors. • Monitor independent testing and inspection agencies for compliance with project and structural standards. • Respond to RFIs with clear, precise information aligned with structural intent. • Prepare Site Instructions and Construction Bulletins guiding field decisions and changes. • Review structural claims and support dispute resolution. • Conduct constructability reviews to identify risks and improvement opportunities. • Liaise regularly with PSPC, Construction Manager, architects, engineers, and stakeholders. • Identify and escalates potential project risks to the Senior Contract Administrator.

What You Bring

• Undergraduate degree or college diploma in civil engineering with a structural focus. • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation (preferred). • Minimum five years’ experience as a structural Contract Administrator on large building projects, preferably heritage or fast‑track. • Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code and CSA steel, concrete, and masonry standards. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; Revit experience considered an asset. • Effective written and verbal communication; French language skills a plus. • Eligibility for Federal Government Enhanced Reliability Clearance (five years Canadian residency).
