About the Role
The officer will conduct regular foot patrols, manage the locking and unlocking of access points, and operate fire, CCTV, access control and building management systems. They will also respond to incidents, produce reports, and oversee contractors and visitors on the premises. Downer designs, builds, and sustains essential public infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand, ranging from hospitals and data centres to defence partnerships and community facilities. The Social Infrastructure & Citizen Services division delivers critical services such as facilities management, precinct upgrades, and asset risk management through public‑private partnerships. • Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders • Conduct regular foot patrols of the site and its assets • Unlock and lock access points across the site • Monitor and maintain CCTV, access control, and BMS systems • Operate fire safety systems • Respond to incidents, resolve issues, and document reports • Manage contractors and visitors on site

What You Bring
Downer is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Campus Support Officer who will focus on both customer service and safety. Reporting to the Security Manager, the role is responsible for protecting people, premises, and assets across the site while delivering exceptional service to all stakeholders. Candidates must have at least two years of security experience, a valid Victorian Security Licence (unarmed, crowd control, and monitoring), and current First Aid and CPR certification. A working with children check, solid knowledge of WHS and risk management, and strong communication and computer skills are also required. • Minimum two years of security experience • Hold a Victorian Security Licence (unarmed, crowd control, monitoring) • Hold current First Aid and CPR certification • Possess a Working with Children check or be willing to obtain one • Demonstrate knowledge of work health and safety and risk management practices • Understand current industry standards and requirements • Proven experience in emergency response procedures • Highly developed customer service skills • Excellent written and oral communication abilities • Experience operating control‑room systems (CCTV, access control, BMS) is an advantage • Ability to interpret and follow policies, procedures, and instructions • High proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to high‑quality outcomes
