About the Role
In this senior project manager position you will build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with clients, internal teams, and regulatory agencies. You will oversee analysis, design, construction administration, and preparation of technical reports, plans, and specifications for water treatment, wastewater treatment, reuse, and resource recovery projects. Managing project teams, coordinating workloads, and driving sales efforts for internal teams are also key duties, as is handling complex, multi‑discipline treatment plant projects. • Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with clients, internal teams, and regulatory agencies. • Oversee analysis, design, construction administration, and technical reporting for water and wastewater treatment projects. • Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and internal sales efforts. • Lead complex, multi‑discipline treatment plant projects from concept through completion. • Apply expertise in water process, civil/structural/mechanical/electrical design, treatment studies, and contract administration.

What You Bring
Freese and Nichols is searching for an experienced Water Treatment Engineer to serve as Senior Water Treatment Project Manager in its Fort Worth, Dallas, or Denton, Texas office. The role offers the chance to join a water and wastewater treatment team that delivers innovative, sustainable solutions, works alongside industry‑leading professionals, and prioritizes outstanding client service and quality deliverables. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and has at least ten years of water and wastewater treatment experience, focusing on plant process evaluation, design, and construction. Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and sales skills are required, along with a Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within six months. A Master’s degree in Civil (Environmental concentration) or Environmental Engineering is preferred. • Hold a B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience. • Possess strong communication, presentation, and sales skills; maintain or obtain a Texas PE license within six months. • Preferred: Master’s degree in Civil (Environmental concentration) or Environmental Engineering.
