About the Role

The advisor will help build a caring culture where leaders and team members support each other, benefiting employees, clients, and stakeholders. Reporting to the Business Line’s VP of Health and Safety and leadership, the advisor will manage health and safety initiatives, communicate global and regional HSEQ requirements, and ensure their implementation across the business. Core duties include conducting site visits and audits, delivering required trainings, investigating incidents, performing root‑cause analysis, and defining clear project health‑safety objectives. The advisor will plan and coordinate safety activities, analyze risks, develop contingency plans, track performance, and collaborate with the HSEQ team, operations, and shared services to continuously improve programs. • Support VP of Health and Safety and business line leadership in all health and safety management aspects. • Communicate global and regional HSEQ requirements and implement them across the business. • Conduct site visits, audits, and deliver required health and safety training. • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to implement corrective actions. • Define and communicate project health and safety objectives, planning and coordinating safety activities. • Analyze risks, develop contingency plans, and track performance against safety goals. • Collaborate with HSEQ team, operations, and shared services to improve programs and provide coaching. • Travel to project sites and offices at least 30% of the time.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds an undergraduate degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Environment, or a related discipline, with 5–7 years of experience in health and safety, preferably in construction, transportation, road, bridge, or infrastructure projects. Required skills include deep knowledge of OSHA construction standards and related regulations, strong project management, risk assessment, communication, analytical, and leadership abilities, as well as proficiency with safety software and Microsoft Office. A master’s degree, CSP certification, or similar credentials are a plus. • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Environment, or related field. • 5–7 years of health and safety experience, preferably in construction, transportation, road or bridge projects. • Knowledge of OSHA construction standards, DOT and FRA regulations. • Strong project management, risk assessment, and data analysis skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. • Proficiency with health and safety software and Microsoft Office suite. • Leadership, decision‑making and proactive problem‑solving capabilities. • Preferred: Master’s degree and CSP or similar certification.
