About the Role

The role, under general direction, manages a truck‑based service business, driving growth in labor and material revenue, gross margin, and service asset management. It also deploys and maintains standardized tools, systems, and support for the Service Team while ensuring operational excellence and service growth. Key responsibilities include setting and monitoring team growth and profitability goals, leading the Service Team to ensure productivity, consistency, and quality, and managing warranty issue resolution. The manager also oversees customer relationships, monthly forecasting, overhead accounts, staffing levels, recruitment, performance planning, timesheet approval, safety compliance, bookings, and accounts payable/receivable, while identifying change‑order opportunities and building long‑term contractor and client relationships. Johnson Controls enhances the intelligence of buildings through a broad portfolio of products, technologies, software, and services, making buildings safer, more comfortable, efficient, and sustainable, ultimately supporting the missions of its customers. • Manage truck‑based service business and grow labor/material revenue and gross margin • Deploy and maintain standardized tools, systems, and support for Service Team • Set and monitor team growth and profitability goals • Lead Service Team to ensure productivity, consistency, and quality • Resolve warranty‑related issues and manage customer relationships • Assist with monthly forecasting and overhead account management • Maintain optimal staffing through labor forecasting, planning, and recruitment • Conduct performance reviews, quarterly one‑on‑one meetings, and develop performance plans • Approve timesheets and ensure completion of pre‑job checklists, daily debriefs, and safety reports • Handle bookings, accounts payable, and accounts receivable • Ensure safety performance and compliance with Zero Harm policy • Identify and pursue change‑order opportunities for additional work • Develop long‑term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants, and subcontractors

What You Bring

Effective leadership requires strong verbal and written communication, ownership of issues, multitasking with tact and persistence, and excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Customer satisfaction is a top priority. Required qualifications are a college degree or equivalent and a minimum of ten years of HVAC experience.
